Things you didn't know about [Aircond ] :
Avoid turning on aircond when you're sweating
Do not turn on the aircond immediately when you just got back from the outdoor, feeling hot and sweaty all over! We should always cool down our body heat and take things slow. Once you feel that you've adjusted to the room temperature after 10 minutes, proceed to switch on the aircond. Otherwise, it would have some negative effects on you over time such as dizziness, headache, fatigue, colds or even other illnesses!
The temperature difference between indoor and outdoor should not exceed 5℃
Experts claim that the most suitable temperature range for aircond is between 24℃ to 26℃, with the relative humidity at 50%, which is comfortable for the human body. This is also highly recommended if you often stay indoors for a long time because if the indoor temperature is adjusted too low, making the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor too large, you will be prone to catch colds, lips turn dry, headache, runny nose or even other respiratory diseases!
Blow the wind upward
Everyone knows the principle of thermal expansion and contraction. Since cold air is denser than hot air, hence cold air will always sink downward and cool your room even if we make the wind blow upwards. This could also avoid the cold wind blowing directly on your body
Ensure proper ventilation
If you have been running the aircond for a long time, you should open the window regularly to bring in the fresh air outside, keeping your room well-ventilated with clean air
Adjust the aircond temperature for sleeping
Enable the sleep mode and ensure it does not fall below 24°C. This is because our immune system slows down which metabolic capacity will be reduced by 30% - 50% during sleep, hence we may experience symptoms such as fatigue, headache, limb pain and so on if the room temperature appears to be too low when we wake up the next day. In severe cases, diarrhea or irregular periods may even occur!
Regular maintenance and disinfection are important
If you didn't perform regular cleaning for your aircond, there would be lots of dirt and bacteria adhering to the surface and inside of your aircond, which will affect the airflow and cooling efficiency. Imagine staying in a room with the aircond turned on for a long time, the air you inhale is all contaminated, which is undoubtedly harmful to your health!
Put a bucket of water under the aircond
This is a relatively popular method. Since the aircond tend to remove moisture in the room and make the air dry, leading to dryness in the eyes, nose and lips. So why not consider putting a bucket of water under the aircond to relieve the symptoms of dryness?
#CommonHealthProblems associated with aircond mistakes you make for years
Extreme temperature difference!
The alternation between cold and heat may result in dysfunction of the body's homeostatic regulatory system, and the imbalance will lead to headaches, colds and many more.
Running the aircond too long will reduce the indoor humidity level a lot, which will negatively affect the mucous membranes of your eyes, nose and even result in some mucosal disorders!
Everything has pros and cons no matter how great you think it is. There would be some negative consequences if we don't use it appropriately or overuse it. It could only bring us convenience and great help if it is used properly and monitored!
